I believe my biggest contribution to the Language Assistants Program is genuine enthusiasm for what I do. As you have seen on my blog, most of my work at the school has been related to the arts. Art is what comes most naturally to me and it is exciting to be able to pass that on to my students while also helping them with their English.
Pictured above are three winter trees I painted in the entryway of the arts classroom. The flowers hanging down above the paintings were made by my students during class. Students love to see their work displayed and I think they appreciate that their teacher took the time to help their artwork be exalted. That's what I want out of this experience - to do whatever I can to pass on enthusiasm for arts and language and to lead by example so my students can shine knowing I support them!
